This was exemplified by the executive order signed by Trump in April 2020, which forced meat processing plants to stay open during the COVID-19 pandemic, despite widespread outbreaks among workers.
Furthermore, Trump’s trade policies and tariffs have had negative effects on the meat industry, leading to decreased exports and increased prices for consumers. This has hurt both American farmers and consumers, who rely on affordable and safe meat products.
In contrast, Democrats have been advocating for policies that would actually benefit the meat industry and its workers, such as supporting small family farms, increasing food safety regulations, and promoting sustainable agriculture practices. Rather than taking away your hamburgers, Democrats are focused on ensuring that Americans have access to safe, affordable, and ethically produced food options.
